WOW.  I have seen a LOT of posts

WOW.  I have seen a LOT of posts recently bashing Beachbody & its coaches.  Kind of a lot of strong feelings & hatred toward us I guess!

I do have to laugh when I see posts about how P90X is not a “real” workout.  I saw it being compared to Jillian Michael’s 30 Day Shred.  I think Jillian Michaels is great and I have no reason to bash her but comparing her workout to Tony Horton’s is silly.  They are two completely different workouts.

Someone else said Insanity is boring.  Really?  Ok….everyone has their own opinion!  I love it!

Someone said that Chalene Johnson is the most annoying person on the planet.  I guess being passionate about something is annoying.  Not everyone is going to like everyone!

I saw a LOT of posts about Shakeology.  Overpriced.  Garbage.  Tastes awful.  The comments went on & on.

ImagePrice:  Its $130 per bag.   Thats $4.30 per shake.  I used to spend $5+ at McDonalds, Dunkin Donuts, random coffee shops and cafes.  I was getting far less nutritional food for more money.  How many vitamins were in my bagel sandwich?  Probably not many!  Even my healthiest options at a nicer restaurant were not giving me the same nutrients that Shakeology gives me.  Some will say they just eat at home, which is GREAT!  Are you getting ALL of the vitamins that Shakeology has?

Then, the comments about the coaches.  Well, I have to admit, some of them annoy me too.  Some are obnoxious with their postings but most just care about other people and how else are they going to promote their business if they don’t advertise it?  MOST are not dieticians, nutritionists, doctors, nurses, etc. but some are.  I am not.  I never claimed to be one.  What I offer my customers is assistance in finding the right programs, the right meal plans and directing them in creating their own path for their journey.  I don’t tell people what to eat but I do help them in finding the information.  Beachbody offers meal plans and usually, I will direct people to the Eat Clean Diet by Tosca Reno (although I terribly dislike the use of the word diet).

“Its a pyramid scheme”…not its not.

pyramid scheme  n.

A fraudulent moneymaking scheme in which people are recruited to make payments to others above them in a hierarchy while expecting to receive payments from people recruited below them. Eventually the number of new recruits fails to sustain the payment structure, and the scheme collapses with most people losing the money they paid in.

It IS Multi Level Marketing:
Multi-level marketing (MLM) is a marketing strategy in which the sales force is compensated not only for sales they personally generate, but also for the sales of others they recruit, creating a downline of distributors and a hierarchy of multiple levels of compensation.

There are MANY other MLM companies in existence.  Amway, Melaleuca, Isagenix, Herbalife, Arbonne, Xango, Morinda, Shaklee, Forever Living, Monavie, Pampered Chef, Partylite, Stampin Up, Creative Memories, Tastefully Simple, Avon and many others.

What I don’t understand is why the bashing is done to Beachbody but not to Herbalife or Isanegix, which basically promotes shakes that have artificial ingredients in them!  Maybe its because they have been around since 1980 and its a household name.  Beachbody is fairly new, originated in 1998 but did not start with the coaching opportunity until 2008.

I became a coach in 2010 because I wanted to save the 25% on the products and especially, Shakeology.  I didn’t pay much attention to the business side of the opportunity though.  I didn’t think I could do it.  Fast forward 3 years and I’m a Diamond Coach.  I don’t have to leave my kids to go to a job, I’m able to bring in an additional income to my husband’s 2 full time jobs and I can supply us with the extras.  He can take days off from his electrical business without worrying about the bills!

This is a full time job to many people.  So, instead of being aggravated that they are posting on Facebook, understand that this is their income.  If it doesn’t interest you, just move on and read something else.  If your “so sick of seeing Beachbody coaching pages”  don’t like them!  I don’t have the slightest interest in Avon-but I don’t get mad that people invite me to their parties or send me their booklets.  I just kindly decline their offer-at least they are trying to build a business on their own.

Hopefully people will see that Beachbody is serious about their passion & mission to help End the Trend of Obesity.  Wouldn’t it be nice if we could all just get along?  🙂
