Beachbody Success Story….Rob

Beachbody Success Story….Rob

Rob’s story really caught my attention…not only because of his dramatic transformation but because my husband has also been a firefighter for 18 years!  While my husband doesn’t eat burgers & fries all the time, he will still indulge on occasion….and I’m not exactly sure […]

Derm Exclusive Update….30 Day Review

So, I finished my 30 day Derm Exclusive on March 29th but haven’t had a chance to sit down and write my review so here it is!

I was hesitant about Derm Exclusive because I don’t generally trust any products, I guess I’m a bit of a skeptic.  Like I said before, I gave it a try because it was on sale for $19.99, and what if…… I did the 30 days.  I did miss MAYBE 3 applications total, which is good for me!  I wanted honest results so I did my best to follow the instructions.

The Products:

The Micro Peel Resurfacing Pads did feel nice and exfoliated dead cells.  Not sure it shrunk the appearance of my pores since I couldn’t see them before.  This item is only used at night, 2-3 times per week.  I still have pads left.

Intensive Repair Serum smelled SO good.  My kids loved snuggling up after I put that one.

Collagen Lift was to boost collagen production for firm, lifted skin & to reduce the appearance of wrinkles.  I don’t know that this happened. Definitely not with “astonishingly powerful results” as promoted.

On day 14 or 15, my Freeze Fill pen was empty.  I was not pleased!  It is a 30 day supply, so drying up halfway though was not cool.  I did receive a free pen but I had given that to my mom…plus, it was supposed to last me the full 30 days!

Pros:   It smelled nice & it felt really refreshing.  I loved the way my skin felt after applying the product.

Cons:  I don’t visible results.  Do you?

I tried to use the same lighting & squint my eyes the same way in the picture on the right.

MY conclusion…and this is just MY experience…I don’t see a difference at ALL in my crows feet.  I don’t really have wrinkles anyplace else or uneven skin tone, so maybe I’m just not a good candidate to see visible results.

Beachbody does offer a 30 day money back guarantee if you “don’t experience a dramatically more youthful-looking appearance”  I don’t think I look younger but I didn’t call for a refund.

Boston Museum of Science   Time is FLYING! Being sick for 2 weeks has really set me back with my blog!  I’m already so forgetful so that surely didn’t help! On Friday, March 15th, we took the boys to the Boston Museum of Science.  It was […]

100th Day of School

100th Day of School

100th Day of School!

Wow!  This month is flying by!  February is such a short month anyway and I really booked us solid this month!  We have had nonstop field trips, classes and appointments!  I can’t remember the last time we just had a day to relax.  I need to remember to schedule one soon.
We passed our 100th day of school!!!  My little guy went off to preschool so my big guy & I had a few fun activities.  We read a book:  100 Days of School and then did a project with the number “100″

The project on the bottom right was math based with measurements and weight.  The portrait of himself at 100 years old made me laugh.  I think all kids think old people have canes! I need to work on his idea of that. As a matter of fact, after he drew this picture, I drew MY picture at age 100…I should have taken a photo of it!  It was an old woman, NOT hunched over, NO cane and instead, she had dumbbells!  It led us into a discussion of nutrition, bone density & aging gracefully.

Happy 100 Days!

Happy St Patricks Day!

Happy St Patricks Day!

Happy St Patricks Day! I was leary of homeschooling for so long and afraid my kids would miss out on all the fun stuff that kids do in school.  I want to make their childhoods as perfect as possible…whatever perfect is!  Thankfully, there is Pinterest!  I […]

Spring is Coming!

Spring is Coming!

Is It Groundhog Day AGAIN?!

Is It Groundhog Day AGAIN?!

Lately, my life feels like a scene from that movie Groundhog Day.  Its the same thing over & over again.  Get up, make breakfast, workout, do schoolwork, do crafts, go outside, go to the gym, make dinner, do baths, tuck kids in, go to bed….repeat. I assume most people feel that way but I am NOT happy to live a life of monotony!  Its why I chose the life we did.  We usually do field trips each week and change things up but for the past two weeks, we’ve gotten wrapped up in a few things that stopped us from doing what we really wanted to.

Tomorrow, we are breaking out of the rut and leaving all of our businesses behind and we are spending the day in Worcester, MA at the Ecotarium.  Fingers crossed that the weather is nice for us!  My sons are going to start studying about the Solar System next week so I’m hoping the planetarium is open!  My little guy is learning about dinosaurs at preschool so he will be really excited about the dinosaur there-I didn’t tell him!

I have been spending more & more time at the kickboxing gym.  I honestly did not think I’d ever like it but now I love it.  I’m really thankful that my friend suggested it to me.  I’ve met a great bunch of women and will soon be running with them, which was something I really wanted to find.  I don’t have a lot of friends who like to run so this will be a nice thing for ME.

My kids have been awesome and are getting used to me going to the gym, or sometimes coming with me.  They are SO good and sit quietly and wait for me to finish my classes.  Most nights they are able to stay home with my husband.  Unfortunately, the classes are right at dinnertime and I hate missing our dinners around the table.  That is probably my favorite time of day.  We turn the television, radio, scanner, computer OFF and its just the four of us.  We talk about our day, our thoughts, our best & worst thing of the day, etc.  Its just a great bonding time for us.  Fortunately, since we homeschool, we have turned our lunchtime into our bonding meal at the table so I don’t have to feel guilty about missing dinner!  There is always a way to make things happen IF you want them to happen.

NO excuses.

This is a saying I want to have made into a tank top…isn’t it awesome?

Shakeology

Shakeology

I have been drinking Shakeology since 2010.  I’ve never skipped one shipment.  Once, it was late and we were left looking out the window for the delivery truck.  Its expensive.  $120 is more than most people think they should spend on a “shake”.  However, Shakeology is […]
